Before your injections, you will want to be gentle on your skin and avoid any medications or supplements that your doctor has recommended abstaining from prior to treatment.
Before injections, your face will be gently cleansed and sanitized to keep the area safe for injection. The product comes in a syringe that has a very small needle for comfort. Small amounts of the product will be injected into several different points in the treatment area for even dispersion of the product. You may experience a pinch with each injection, but numbing cream can be used to decrease any pain that you may feel with the injections.
Injection time is different for each patient, but Restylane filler treatments are a relatively fast process that can be done during your lunch break. First treatments tend to be longer while touch-up treatments are much faster.
After treatment, the area may be swollen and there may be some redness around the injection sites. The swelling typically goes down within 48-72 hours and ice and arnica gel can be used to speed the process.
