Age naturally brings changes to the skin. Wrinkles, sunspots, and acne scars fall into a category of textural irregularities that can, fortunately, be corrected. At Premiere Aesthetics, we are committed to helping patients in and around Fort Myers, Florida, look their best using skin rejuvenation.
What Is Skin Rejuvenation?
- Dull skin or loss of tone

How Rejuvenation Works
Because skin rejuvenation refers to different modalities used to treat skin damage, the way in which it works depends on the therapy used. Our office staff will choose a treatment only after consulting with you. We’ll consider the current health of your skin and discuss what you hope to achieve and the likely outcomes of treatment.
SkinPen
SkinPen is an advanced microneedling device that allows for shorter treatments and shorter recovery. The spring-loaded, disposable needle tip provides for more precise treatment and less damage to the skin. It is ideal for minimizing pores, improving scars, reducing fine lines, and lifting the skin.
Plasma Pen
Heralded as a “revolutionary facelift procedure without surgery,” the Plasma Pen performs fibroblast therapy. A fibroblast is a cell that creates collagen, an essential protein that keeps skin taut and supple. This treatment can be used on multiple areas of concern without causing damage to surrounding tissues.
Microneedling
Microneedling uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose is to create controlled injuries that, in turn, generate new collagen. Again, this protein keeps skin looking smoother, firmer, and more toned. Microneedling is often used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, repair acne, and reduce pores.
This therapy differs from the SkinPen and Plasma Pen in that it is typically recommended as a preventative anti-aging measure. Conversely, treatment with a pen helps reduce the existing appearance of skin damage and is likely to be administered every year.
Microneedling With PRP
This treatment involves rolling fine needles over the skin and applying platelets. Platelets comprise blood, and adding them to microneedling can make the therapy more effective. Platelets help blood clots form to heal wounds, and PRP contains proteins that help skin tissue repair itself.

Chemical Peel
We will work with you to determine the depth of your peel. This decision will ultimately reflect your skin’s current condition and your goals for treatment. After, your new skin will be more fragile than the layer removed with the peel, so committing to an at-home skincare routine will be crucial.
Pixel 8 RF Microneedling
This non-surgical, microneedling procedure uses radiofrequency (RF) energy and minimally invasive micro-needles to facilitate effective skin tightening with little to no downtime. During treatment, heat is driven deep within the skin’s layers to stimulate and remodel collagen and cause elastin cells to regenerate. The result is a firmer, smoother, and more consistent skin surface.
What to Expect
To select the treatment that is right for you, we’ll evaluate your general health and discuss any risk factors. We’ll also examine your face and take photographs. Together, we’ll discuss different options and the likely outcomes of each. We expect you to ask lots of questions, including the risks associated with a treatment and how you can expect your skin to look once treatment is completed.
After Rejuvenation
We will instruct you how to care for your treated skin after we finish your therapy. Depending on the treatment you receive, you’ll likely see an immediate change in your skin’s appearance. This can include normal, flaky, dry, blistered, and scabbed. It can take between one day and four weeks for your skin to fully heal.
Who Is Rejuvenation Right for?
Patients who smoke or have severe skin sensitivities may be precluded from specific treatments. Those taking certain medications or who plan to be in the sun without protecting their skin should also avoid these therapies. Be sure to discuss your allergies, pre-existing health conditions, and medications with our office so we can explore options with you.
